Woodland Creek Court is a newer Blacklick home: cool gray walls, wood-look floors in the main living space, plush carpet upstairs, and a lot of windows looking over green lawns. It is clean and move-in ready, which can also mean anonymous. This home staging project was about giving each room a clear job and a little personality.

We warmed the gray with oatmeal linen and wood. In the living room, a deep slipcovered sofa and chair sit on a patterned wool-look rug around a wide walnut coffee table, with a woven wall disc and a console between the windows. A second sitting room got a white sofa, a round black coffee table and two woven-rush lounge chairs for a slightly more relaxed mood. The dining nook is simple: a round oak table, black spindle chairs and a big stem of white blossom.

Home staging in Blacklick: the sunroom matters

The sunroom is the room buyers remember, but empty it looks like a hallway made of glass. Two rattan chairs, a small round table and a palm were enough to show it as a morning spot. Upstairs, the primary bedroom gets an upholstered headboard, layered neutral bedding and a warm vintage-style rug so the room reads cozy even under the bright windows.
