Raccoon Valley Road is a renovated farmhouse with real character: dark timber beams across white ceilings, two brick fireplaces with reclaimed-wood mantels, arched black built-ins lined in natural wood, and wide new oak floors throughout. It is the kind of house that rewards careful home staging in Granville, because the bones already tell the story.

We kept the furniture soft and pale so the wood and brick could lead. Cream slipcovered sofas and bouclé chairs, a chocolate velvet ottoman, and rust-toned pillows that pick up the brick. Walnut side tables and vintage-style rugs connect the old pieces to the new floors. In the dining room, a long wood table with cane-backed chairs sits under the candle chandelier, with a wavy mirror and wall sconces carrying the warmth to the edges.

Home staging in Granville: which rooms we prioritized

The beamed living room sightline runs all the way to the kitchen, so that shot came first; buyers see the open flow and the range wall in one frame. We then gave the primary bedroom a full seating area in front of its own fireplace and built-ins, and turned the room with the black shelving wall into a working office. A walnut island table with turned legs keeps the kitchen feeling like a farmhouse kitchen rather than a showroom.
